Memory - Andrew Lloyd Webber

Memory, turn your face to the moonlight
Let your memory lead you
Open up, enter in
If you find there the meaning of what happiness is
Then a new life will begin

Memory, all alone in the moonlight
I can smile at the old days
I was beautiful then
I remember the time I knew what happiness was
Let the memory live again

Burnt out ends of smokey days
The stale cold smell of morning
The streetlamp dies, another night is over
Another day is dawning

Daylight, I must wait for the sunrise
I must think of a new life
And I mustn't give in
When the dawn comes tonight will be a memory too
And a new day will begin

Sunlight, through the trees in the summer
Endless masquerading
Like a flower as the dawn is breaking
The memory is fading

Touch me, it's so easy to leave me
All alone with the memory
Of my days in the sun
If you touch me you'll understand what happiness is
Look, a new day has begun

The Philippine All Stars 2006, 2007, 2008

Never work a day in your life again! :)

Do what you love! Haven't felt so fulfilled in a long time. :)

Been nursing a project, an idea stuck at the back of my head for some time. Why didn't I start all this earlier in school?? Oh ya, no free time.. School. Hah. If all goes well I'll be able to start it in April! :)

Met up with Lola and Jas's KTV gang yesterday for lunch, dinner, KTV and supper. Slept for 10 hours after, zzzz..

Going to move house soon. Eyeing things at home that should be thrown out. Hmm..

POTTERY!

Chehhh.. Lucky we didn't go for the competition on Sat/Sun. Zak reported that the turnout was bad and the groups were not good. Which was surprising cos there are many many good groups out there. Sad. :(

Still, met up with friends for board games and Resident Evil 5. It's quite entertainingi watcngh two people play the game when one is constantly electrocuting his team mate by accident, stopping to pick up dropped gold, ammo, whatever, and chiong-ing forward even though he's about to die. Hilarious!! Fun to watch but I'd probably strangle him if I were his team mate ha.

Another work week ahead. zzz..

Singapore's Best Dance Crew 2009

One of the highlights of the weekend. Zak judging. Going to watch. :)

Fate is a funny thing

WOOHOO!! Got a ton of comments recently. Both compliments and criticisms. Criticism is much more useful cos they help you improve, if you can take them in the right light. I foresee the beginning of a (hopefully) long and strong friendship. :)

VIVVVAAAA LAS VEGAS! :)

Work is the same. Unfortunately didn't weigh letters today. So no highlight of the day. Unless you consider bitching during lunch time, HAHA. Been doing a bit of individual tax for expats. Didn't know that there was so much else to do apart from the actual computation. Mindless paperwork I tell you. Doing some simple accounts now. Basically just trudging along with work. Still waiting happily for the weekend, as always with every weekend. :)

Cat paid me the fees for the performance today! Whee! Bonus moolah!! Time to treat my closest friends :)

WOOT!!!

Performance was awesome!!! Quite a young tweeny crowd though, felt like the high school musical shows. So a bit weird doing sexy faces, HA, but still gave it all anyway. Probably a good start for a group performance, in this sort of non-competitive environment :) Nobody forgot their steps, or screwed up. But now to just wait for the video to watch the playback :)

The DJ, however, was ******* obnoxious. Smarmy and obnoxious at the same time, if that makes sense. He sounded as if he'd been there and done that. COME ON. Bugger couldn't even play his tracks properly. Grr.

The most fun was the prep beforehand. Had a lot of fun playing Cat's home made game, telling racist jokes and faking different accents. Haven't laughed like that in quite a while :)

LOVE! :)

HTH + dance + work + passion

Had dinner, dance and a HTH (heart to heart) with Cat. Long time no HTH. Seriously I don't think I've ever met any girl who is as frank as her. Didn't think we could be so 'gam', so that's awesome! :)

Supposed to go Hong Lim Park for rehearsal tomorrow, but apparently have to book. No money to book so back to Cat's house tomorrow night. Her folks must be used to her friends dancing at night.

Work is alright. Still learning. The most memorable thing I did today was weighing an envelope. Freaking exciting I tell you. Instead of a scale, there's this funky little metal mechanism that you hang your letter from, to see how heavy it is. HIGHLIGHT of the day. Which shows how exciting the rest of work can be. At least I'm earning some cash.. Funny thing is when we go to lunch, we meaning me and my other uni friend, we talk nonstop about how we're going to leave, HAHAHA.. One thing I LOVE about this job though, is that it ends at 6. No work on weekends and no work to bring home. (hey for the kind of pay I'm getting I don't expect to anyway) I physically and mentally toss everything once I step out of the office.

Last bit, been talking to everybody about doing what they love, what they're passionate about. I wish I could dance full time but I'm nowhere near that good PLUS I like the financial security that my current job provides. And there's also the thrill of going from office girl to hip hop crew, with a simple wardrobe change. Which! will be the case tomorrow so shit I'd better pack my stuff now.

23rd birthday and first show

Dear friends, thank you!! For the munchies, the movies, the girl-talk/guy-talk, the presents and all of the support! Love you all! :)

---

Our first show coming up on the 7th of March. Been rehearsing really intensively, with the fellow juniors and the three seniors. Quite tiring but feels super! Can really get high dancing. Final rehearsal, one last all-out on Friday night, at Hong Lim Park stage. Recuperate overnight. Showtime on Sat.

EXCITING!!!!

And the side bonus is that we're getting paid for it! Almost double what I got for when I was belly dancing at a restaurant. Cos Kat and Zak gave us part of their cut, which is incredibly generous because they've already helped us along so much so far. Advice, trainings, opportunities, always for free. Need to pay them back.

OH! For the fish and co sparkler gang, I'm wearing the waist-cincher thingermajigger as part of my final outfit! Too outrageous for normal wear, but perfect for the stage. :)

I'm super excited about the 7th. Will take as many photos as possible. :)
